Our Scottish Centre for Enabling Technologies (SCET) is turning digital theory into commercial reality. SCET offers our students an understanding of real commercial projects relating to animation/graphic design, computer games, mobile development, web/cloud development, e-health development and data analytics. The Computer Animation Arts programme provides you with the skills required for work in animation, 3D modelling, visual effects, visualisation and computer games. Students have the opportunity to specialise in a range of different areas including film, TV and games, leading to employment opportunities with Axis Animation, MPC and many others. BCS accredited Computer Games Development combines development skills acquired in dedicated games studios with games design, equipping you for a career in the mobile and web games market in game programming and game engine scripting. Designed in collaboration with the UK’s top computer games companies, the Computer Games Technology programme has been awarded PlayStation First status. Graduates have secured developer positions at Sony and Rockstar North, relocating to the gaming market hotspots of Japan, the US and Canada. Music Technology is accredited by JAMES (Joint Audio Media Education Support). You will use technology based equipment to learn live sound reinforcement, studio and location recording, and production and post production processing of music and audio for multimedia, film animation and computer games.
